HydroC™ CO2 FT flow through
is a robust and accurate flow-through sensor for the reliable online measurement of dissolved carbon dioxide in surface waters.
HydroC™ CO2 FT flow through
Although not the most powerful greenhouse gas, CO2 drives climate change due to the enormous volumes of this gas pumped into the atmosphere. Studies on the behaviour, distribution and interaction of CO2 in surface waters depend on accurate in-situ measurements.
CONTROS’ HydroC™ CO2 FT is a unique flow-through sensor for dissolved carbon dioxide in surface waters. Applications include air- sea gas exchange, ocean acidification, climate studies, as well as studies for fish farming and aquaculture.

Function principle
Water is pumped through the membrane head of the flow-through sensor. Dissolved carbon dioxide diffuses quickly from the liquid through a patented thinfilm composite membrane into the internal gas circuit. Here the CO2 concentration is measured with high accuracy by non-dispersive infrared spectrometry (NDIR).
