April 2008 – Contros becomes Reseller for LYNN Video Enhancing

Lynn

We are proud to welcome LYNN AB from Sweden. CONTROS becomes a reseller for the professional (underwater) video enhancement system.

The technology

is called LYYN Visibility Enhancement Technology (V.E.T.). Visibility is enhanced (particularly the possibility to see colors, movement and contours) in fog, snow, dust, sand, darkness, etc as well as under water and in medicinal applications. V.E.T. works on digital images and video from normal cameras, but can also be used in processing saved material.

Low cost

As LYYN V.E.T. can be integrated into existing systems as a "turbo charger", no expensive upgrade of complete systems is required. More information please visit: www.lyyn.com

March 2008 – Exploration of fluid CO2 sea at Fiji Islands - 1700m

Exploration of fluid CO2

During the SUMSUM project exploration of nature CO2 seas in the deep the scientist on the RV SONNE has found one of the world's only CO2 fluid sea. The interferrences to the environmental was measured with CONTROS CO2 equipment: the HydroC CO2 sensor and a "Bubblebox" with the CONTROS high-power LED-Light and Li-Ion Batterypack.

This is a very important task to understand the consequence of the increasing CO2 concentration, and to prepare possible CO2 sequestatrion in the near future as well.
