Kiel University of Applied Sciences

Fachhochschule Kiel, University of Applied Sciences, is the largest education establishment of its kind in Schleswig-Holstein. There is a decided international slant to its degree courses: The University of Applied Sciences Kiel has cooperation agreements with a large number of universities worldwide. All courses incorporate a definite practical bias and have close links with local firms; where students have the opportunity to complete placements, projects and their thesis. All the subjects on offer are taught or consolidated using state-of-the art information technology equipment and multimedia tools. The effects of the European Bologna process to improve the mobility of students and cooperation between institutions have been welcomed too by University of Applied Sciences: the German degree "Diplom" has given way to international bachelor's and master's degree programmes.
